Loyola University - New Residence Hal
New Orleans, Louisiana
$8,000,000

The building is a seven-story concrete frame, brick facade residence hall with conference rooms and public space on the ground floor. The renovation project required mold abatement, extensive modifications to the HVAC system by replacement of 50% of the building's fresh air supply duct distribution system and a totally new building exhaust system, new conditioned fresh air AHU installed with new chilled water piping and gas reheat piping, and the roof system was replaced to install new rooftop equipment and systems. The masonry skin was removed, the underlying sheathing and vapor/moisture barrier repaired/replaced and masonry reinstalled, and all penetrations re-caulked.

The project took place while six of the seven floors were occupied by university students and staff. All interior building systems remained operational with coordinated shut-downs for new tie-ins as required.
